Manager of Community Engagement

  • Hybrid
    • Washington DC, Washington, United States
  • Business Team

Job description

It’s not just a job — together, we’re on a mission. We're committed to accelerating the energy transition, with the goal of empowering adoption of 2 million sustainable energy installations by 2035. That is a lot of work (and a lot of people and communities) to engage! We are looking for talents to strengthen our team, and work with others on what really matters.

The team you will join

At iChoosr, you will join a team of 140 dedicated professionals taking a proactive approach to solving the “B-to-C” quandary across the multiple country markets that we already serve (the US, the Netherlands, Belgium, the UK, and Japan). We are spread out literally around the globe, with our main offices in Amsterdam, London, Antwerp, Tokyo, and Washington D.C.

Job description

In the US we organize solar group buying programs in close cooperation with a large number of local governments (Community Leaders). The objective for iChoosr is to provide each of our stakeholders (participating households, local government and non profit partners, and solar contractors) a “win” by participating in the program.

You will be responsible for engaging with and vetting potential local government and/or non-profit partners that want to help us bring these programs to the households that might be considering solar and/or the other clean energy technologies and services. You will actively search for new opportunities to enable iChoosr to grow in and launch in new regions. This includes securing formal approval (typically, a no cost MOU or similar) from new partners to actively support and promote the program with iChoosr. You will build an open relationship in which you provide feedback and discuss opportunities to optimize the partnership.
